BLOG news November 2020
I am delighted to have been asked to write a BLOG post for our local #community #website in #Honley. its live now ! at
I was asked to talk about the challenges faced by all of us who have lost loved ones and are having to say goodbye and organise a funeral during the restrictions of COVID-19 and the impact on the wedding ceremony side of my business. Hope you find the information useful and would love to know more - if so please get in touch.
It can feel a very lonely place when we are grieving and the restrictions in both proximity and time allowed to visit our family and the lack of a hug or a handshake when we are needing that comfort is so painful. My wish is that when we work together on a Creating Memories Ceremony that you can get that comfort from the most fitting and loving tribute - safely -by focusing on what we "can do" and not what we "cannot do" when we say goodbye.
Whilst ever loved ones can not be visited in care homes by their families and gatherings cannot take place - weddings cannot go ahead, how can you truly celebrate without all your nearest and dearest around?
For some sadly there is no option; and provision has been made for "exceptional" circumstances and urgent ceremonies, however during this #lockdown2 all wedding ceremonial events are forbidden and we have moved all our pending ceremonies on to 2021 and 2022 dates without any increase in the fees charged currently.
