A magical trip North of the Border to the "home of runaway weddings".
It was wonderful to capture the essence of the #romance and #excitement of an elopement wedding.
The Anvil Priests were the first #celebrants - so to speak and with a few short words and the bringing
down of the hammer on to the Anvil - the marriage was legally binding - creating a way for runaway couples to be "legally" married before the family had chance to catch up with them - and object !
So romantic and I have some of these "runaway lovers" in my own ancestry - perhaps that is why I am such a #romantic.
